This information can be found under the Library tab in MyBeckett under Resources or on the Library homepage under Resources.

Have you tried using Discover, the Library’s academic search engine?  This searches over 90% of resources available from Leeds Beckett Library including books, electronic journals and databases.

Discover is a great place to begin your research.

MyBeckett upgrade

Please be aware that MyBeckett will be unavailable during the following time period due to necessary and important upgrades:

End 3 January 2018 17.00 GMT

We recommend that before January 1st  make sure that, where possible, you have downloaded files or materials that you might need within this period from MyBeckett and saved them elsewhere.

 

What can I access during the downtime?

Please note that under usual circumstances we recommend accessing Library resources via the Library tab in MyBeckett.

Finding, using and accessing eBooks

Hello everyone.  We hope you are settling in OK. These first few weeks really fly by!

You might even be starting to think about accessing Library resources so you can start reading and researching.

eBooks are a great digital alternative to a print book, especially as they can provide you with instant online access to your resources whenever and wherever you are! You can find eBooks by searching Discover or the Library Catalogue – these can be accessed through MyBeckett.

In your Discover search, look for the eBook icon

 

 

 

In the Library Catalogue, select the purple link to open this electronic resource, for example:

 

You can either read eBooks online or download them for a short period of time, after which access to the eBook will automatically expire.

Did you know we have a team of Academic Librarians who specialise in individual subject areas? They’ve created these subject specific guides to Library resources to help you with your studies.

The Academic Librarians also support your studies through:
