Welcome to 2016!

We’d like to wish all of you a very Happy New Year from all in the Offsite team at Leeds Beckett Library. We hope you have all had a restful break. Although the new term doesn’t start officially until Monday 11th January, students are starting to return to Leeds and we have had several enquiries from distance learners over the festive break which we have answered as quickly as possible.

The University’s Distance Learning Unit also needs your help….

Some of you may have come across the University’s Distance Learning Unit (DLU), which aims to enable the University to offer the best experience possible to distance learners, and to work with faculties to design and support distance courses. Staff in the DLU are hoping to develop a Student Survival Guide for Distance Learners. However, they can’t do this without your help! Please could you take a couple of minutes to share your experiences via their online survey – this would really help them when promoting best practice for distance learners. The survey is not long and can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MJTYDKY . Any contributions would be gratefully appreciated.
