Christmas has arrived in the library!

We arrived in the library on Monday morning to discover that the festive elves had been in over the weekend and put up a Christmas tree just outside the library’s main entrance! I know that lots of you will have assignments to complete in December so it’s a good idea to request any books you need from the library as early as possible as your postman is very busy in December! We have created a handy video guide that explains how to request books by mail or please do contact the Offsite team directly if you need any help with this.

What’s on in Leeds

I know that some of you come to Leeds as part of your course and that others conduct all of your studies remotely. If you ever get the chance to come to the city, please do come and say hello to the Offsite team, we are always keen to meet our students in person! We are based in room 405 in the Sheila Silver City Campus Library. It has been a busy few weeks in Leeds, the 29th Leeds International Film Festival is drawing to a close, it is held at venues across the city and features films from across the globe, the best film award will be announced shortly and I would definitely recommend checking out the winner! This week sees the university’s annual Festival of Politics and Applied Global Ethics, this event also has its own blog so you can find out a bit more about it here. Things are starting to get festive in our city, the Leeds Christkindelmarkt has just opened a couple of minutes walk away from the university in Millenium Square and it is a firm favourite with library staff and a great place to get a pick up a mulled wine and some Christmas gifts too! We will be blogging over the next few weeks with a countdown to Christmas and some of our best tips to ensure that you get the most out of using the library and our resources over the festive season.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions in the meantime.
