Are you Offsite-ready yet?

Have we sent you information about registering with Offsite? Why not go ahead and register with us – once you’re logged in to MyBeckett, you’re only 2 clicks away from the simple registration form (Library tab, then Register for Offsite). We’ll respond to your student email within two working days, and usually it’s much, much sooner!

Sometimes people feel embarrassed because they haven’t contacted us earlier in the academic year, but wherever you’re at during your studies, at any time during the year, we’re there to help. Why not also take a look at our Offsite web pages and find out how we can support you as a distance learner..

Managing your student email account

It is really important that you check your student email account on a regular basis as this is how the university will communicate with you. This is because your student email address is secure and doesn’t change, please see the library website for further information on how to access your student emails. As distance learners we appreciate that many of you are juggling work and studies at the same time so a handy time saving tip would be to set up a forward from your student email account to your personal email account as this will save you time and ensure that you don’t miss any important emails. Information on how to do that is available here. Please contact your friendly Offsite team if you need any help setting this up.

Online Library Induction

Do you want to know more about how to use Library services and resources effectively?

The Library has produced a collection of short videos, which are designed to complement the information provided by your Academic Librarian during your Library induction. The videos introduce some key resources and services available to support your studies, and you can work through them at a pace that suits you. Topics covered include MyBeckett and Google apps, the Offsite service, requesting resources and managing your Library account, online resources and using other libraries. Click here to access the Online Library Induction.
