Need a journal article that we don’t have electronically?

Perhaps you need an article that the Library doesn’t subscribe to electronically…………DSCF2845

Did you know that, if you’re registered with Offsite and we have the article in print, we can scan it and email a copy to your student email address. Even if we don’t have the article in print, the likelihood is that we can access it via our Interlibrary Loans service.

Article requests cost £2 per article, which will be billed to your Library record. To request the article you just need to log in to X-stream, go to the Library tab, find the section entitled Interlibrary Loan Request and complete and submit an Interlibrary Journal Request Form.

Did you know you can use other university libraries?

Is there another university closer to you than Leeds Met? If you’re a distance learning student you can borrow books from most of the higher education libraries in the UK and Ireland via the SCONUL Access scheme. If you would like to use SCONUL Access, please make sure you have no outstanding Library charges or overdue books, and then complete the online application form. Your application will be authorised within 3 working days.

It’s a good idea to check the website of the library you want to visit for information such as opening hours and restrictions on their collection.

You can find out more about SCONUL Access here.
